Obituaries

Ruth Heafner Howie, 88, of Denver, passed away peacefully at Serenity House in Mooresville after a long illness. Her family, Cindy and Rodney, were at her side.

Ruth was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver.

A “home going” service was held earlier at her bedside. She was laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby alongside her husband, Jim, and daughter, Ginger.
