Mrs. Geraldine Margaret Gibbons Fulkerson, age 82, of 1785 Amy Drive in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

A memorial service will be held at St. Dorothy’s Catholic Church at a later date.

Mrs. Fulkerson was born June 11, 1931 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late William J. and Irene Lynch Gibbons.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, George Richard DeMand, Sr. and Robert Fulkerson and one son, George Richard DeMand, Jr.  Mrs. Fulkerson was a retired administrative assistant having worked at the Pentagon.

She is survived by on daughter, Lenore DeMand-Wood and husband George of Denver; two sisters, Lois Moore and Betty Mahoney, both of Connecticut; two step-grandchildren, Charity Vincent and Jesse Wood.
