Mildred Herring Wade
( September 26, 1920 - May 28, 2014 )

Our amazing, most precious mother, who was fondly known as  Millie, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, May 28, 2014, at Carillon Assisted Living in Lincolnton NC.

She was born September 26, 1920 to the late Denver and Dessie Herring in Lincolnton GA.

She graduated from Girls High School in Anderson SC., went  to Beauty and Business  school. Was a Beautician for many years in Anderson SC…Receptionist for Coca Cola plant in Greenville SC…and retired from Geer Drug Co. in Greenville SC.

She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.

She married Jeremiah Carlton Wade and lived in Greenville SC. There she raised her family. She never gave up on beautifying others  that needed a cut, color or perm. She will be remembered for her beautiful sweet smile and her inspiration to her family with strong faith in God, her caring  words, her dry wit and her love for life and nurturing her family and friends. She was a member of Woodlands Lutheran Church in Montverde Fl. She lived in FL for 20 years. Her later years were lived out in Lincolnton NC, where she lived at Carillon Assisted Living. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jeremiah Carlton Wade, parents Denver and Dessie Herring, her brother Denver Jr. two sisters Vernelle Mauldin and Jo Beth Logue.

She is survived by her brother Robert Herring and wife Diane of Cocoa FL., children Rosalind W Checho and husband Robert of Clermont FL, Sandra W Eagle and husband Emmett of Lincolnton NC., grand children Tamara Checho of Clermont FL. and fiancée Matthew Kauffman, Chase Checho of Minturn CO Matthew Eagle of Lincolnton NC and fiancée Lauren Higgins  , Brant Eagle and wife Gina of Hickory NC , Alex Eagle of Lincolnton NC.  One great grandchild Jay  Kauffman III   and future great grandchild Andrea Parks.

A memorial celebrating her life will be held at 6:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall in Lincolnton NC.,  followed by refreshments.  Graveside Services will be held in Winter Park FL. with family and friends at Glen Haven Memorial Park INC,

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, Heart Association or COPD Lung Association.
