Obituaries

Gabriel McGarrett Smith infant son of Megan Faith Smith died on May 8, 2014 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 11:00am on  Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Grooms officiating.  Family and friends will gather at the home of Jean Herman on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 3:00 in the afternoon.

Survivors include; mother Megan Faith Smith of the home; maternal grandparents Ray and Debra Smith of the home; one aunt Kesha Smith Huss and husband Trent of Lincolnton; one cousin Dixie Jean Huss; one great grandfather John David Ingle of Lincolnton; several great aunts, uncles and cousins; Gabriel was preceded in death his maternal great grandmother Betty Smith Ingle and great grandfather Everette Lee Goins and maternal great grandparents Colleen Edwards Smith and Willard Plez Smith.
