Obituaries

Ethel Wyant Seagle, age 89, of Carolina Care Center in Cherryville, and formerly of Vale, died on Thursday, April 17, 2014.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014, at Daniels Lutheran Church with Pastor Lewis Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church.

Mrs. Seagle was born March 28, 1925, to the late John P. Wyant and Winnie Allran Wyant. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Seagle, and her brother John W. Wyant. She worked as a bookkeeper for Belk.

She is survived by three sons, Scott Seagle and wife Carolyn of Abbeville, SC, Steve Seagle and wife Laura of Blowing Rock, NC, and Doug Seagle and wife Jill of Belleville, IL; one brother, John Wyant of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Andrew Seagle, Brittany Mailleue, Emma Seagle, Robert C. Seagle, Wyatt Seagle, and Morgan Seagle; and one great-grandchild, Malcolm Mailleue.
