Obituaries

John “Everette” Carpenter, 73, passed away April 5, 2014.  He is now resting pain free with Jesus.

His funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Bost officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Monday prior to the funeral at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Carpenter was born December 29, 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents John “Paul” Carpenter and Polly Brown Carpenter, one sister Jolene Honeycutt, and his first wife of 40 years Carolyn Perry Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife Katie Marie Carpenter of the home; one son Terry Carpenter and wife Charlsie of Lincolnton, and two step-children Kim Jones of Cherryville, and Richard Jones  of  Lincolnton; 3 grandchildren Rusty Carpenter and wife Elizabeth of Lincolnton, Heather Carpenter Fredell and husband Stephen of Vale, and Kaylon Carpenter Hovis and husband Kyle of Vale; 5 step grandchildren  Jeffery Rudisill and wife Katie, Craig  Watts, Tiffany Jones, Madison Jones, and Skyler Jones; 6 great-grandchildren Hunter and Will Carpenter, Tristan and Nadia Fredell, and Brody and Alayna Hovis; and 2 step-great grandchildren Emily Watts and Zander Teague.
