Mr. Harvey Darrell “Doc” Ledbetter, age 62, of 1114 North Hill Drive in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Painter officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Ledbetter was born March 28, 1951, in Lincoln County. He was a retired teacher for Lincoln County Schools, a volunteer fireman for 40 years, 15 years with the N.C. Forestry Service, and 15 years with the Lincoln County Life Saving Crew.

He is survived by his beloved Audrey of the home; his parents, Sarah and Harvey Ledbetter of Lincolnton; one son, Drew Ledbetter of Lincolnton; two daughters, Cassie Hendrick and husband Daniel of Cherryville and Christy Chaney and husband Buddy of Lincolnton; and three grandchildren, Morgan Hendrick, Skyler Chaney, and Blaine Chaney.
