Obituaries

Ernestine Carroll Moses, age 74, of 3075 Lightview Lane in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at South River Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moses was born in Cleveland county on June 8, 1939, to Sarah Carroll. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Moses. She retired from J.P. Stevens after 33 years of service.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Walters and wife Debbie, Billy Walters and wife Kathy, and Jim Moses and wife Dana, all of Lincolnton; three daughters, Cathy Travis and husband Skeet, Tina Jenkins and husband Danny Whitworth, all of Lincolnton, and Carolyn Camidge and husband Cliff of Morganton; two sisters, Lois Smith of Lincolnton, and Eileen Grigg and husband David of Lincolnton; twelve grandchildren, Rob Walters and wife Macrae, Travis Saunders and wife Nicole, Hayley Saunders, Jessica Jenkins and husband Jonathan, James Jenkins and wife Katie, Keely Moses, Conisha Moses, Cassandra Moses and husband Jose, Jamie Walters, John Sanders, III, Nikki and Lindsay Willard; and eight great-grandchildren, Hope, Meghan, Kaylan, Mason, Maddie, Kynadee, Jamison, and Caroline Ingle.
