Obituaries

Helen Gilbert Conway, age 90, of 168 Brook Street in Waynesville, died on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Warlick Funeral Home from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Ms. Conway was born December 23, 1923, in Edinburgh, Scotland to the late Alex and Christine Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Chadford Charles Conway and a daughter, Sherry Conway Reace. She worked in accounting for NAPA Auto Parts and, in her spare time, was an accomplished painter winning many awards.

She is survived by three sons, Mark Conway and wife Louise of Columbia, SC, Bruce Conway and wife Carol of San Francisco, CA, and Craig Conway of Waynesville; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
