Mrs. Betty Abee “Bet” Sain, age 86, formerly of 2804 Cat Square Road in Vale, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 1, 2014.
Her funeral will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Locke officiating. Her body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:30pm Monday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sain was born May 7, 1927 in Catawba County to the late T.S. Abee and Demcey Abee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B.J. Sain, and an infant daughter as well as seven brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Berna Tallent (Gary) and Sandy Peeler (Eddie) of Vale and LaNae Haigler (Hoyle) of Monroe, NC. Grandchildren are Gaye Willis, Melanie Ward, Melissa Peeler, and Robin Peeler. Great grandchildren are Brittany Anderson, Chase Ward, McKenzie Willis, and Jack Willis; one sister, Kathleen Isenhour of Hickory and one brother, Bill Abee of Vale.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Brian Center 600 Hall for the love and care of their mother for the past four years with a special thanks to Eileen, Earline, Vanessa and Wendy.
