Kenneth Lincoln Reinhardt
( May 24, 1922 - January 7, 2014 )

Kenneth Lincoln Reinhardt, age 91, of 6957 E. Highway 150, in Maiden, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.


His funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2014, at Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Fulker officiating.  The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with graveside military rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Warlick Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Reinhardt was born May 24, 1922 in Catawba County to the late Calvin and Jennie Hicks Reinhardt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Ora Lee Mathis, Clare Lawing, Ethel Barkley, and Eileen Summers, and a brother, Charlie Reinhardt. He served in the United States Army during World War II where he was a medic in the Timberwolf Division of the 104th Infantry. He later worked as a salesman for Dixie Boat Works in Newton for over 50 years.

 

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Coleen Beale Reinhardt of the home; a son, Ronnie Reinhardt and wife Beth of Iron Station; three daughters, Camilla Fogle and husband Larry of Sherrills Ford, Rebecca Duffey and husband Ron of Maiden, and Camy Sorge and husband Jim of Greensboro; two brothers, Darryl Reinhardt of Newton and Frank Reinhardt of Maiden; two sisters, Lucille Settlemyre and Maxine Elder, both of Maiden; seven grandsons, Sean Reinhardt, Seth Reinhardt, Ben Phillips and wife Crystal, Rick Phillips and wife Merrimeth, Matt Sorge, Tim Holder and wife Susie, and Kenneth Chad Holder; two granddaughters, Emily Sorge and Anna Reinhardt; and six great-grandchildren, Anna Holder, Miles Holder, Ruby Phillips, Zevah Philips, Sadie Phillips, and Mack Phillips.
