Obituaries

John Thomas McLean, III, age 83, of 500 Victor Street in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, December 12, 2013.

Services will be private.

Mr. McLean was born October 20, 1930 in Lincoln County to the late John Thomas McLean, Jr. and Georgia Heavner McLean. He served in the United States Navy and then later worked as a welder.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lineberger McLean of Lincolnton; a son, John “Chuck” McLean, IV of Denver; three grandchildren, Julian, Jaden, and Cameron McLean; and a sister, Janice Hinman of New York.
