Warren Columbus Robinson
( March 15, 1925 - November 26, 2013 )

Warren Columbus Robinson, age 88, of the Brian Center, and formerly of Leewood Acres in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2013.

 

His funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Wyant officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Robinson was born on March 15, 1925 in Rockingham County to the late Raymond Lee and Virginia Walker Robinson. He served in the United States Army in the 165th Combat Engineering Battalion during World War II and each year after discharge looked forward to his Army reunion.  Later, he was self-employed for 44 years as an electrician and spent time working with Troop 76 of the Boy Scouts at First United Methodist Church. He was also active in the Men’s Bible Class as a member and teacher.

 

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Cashion Robinson of the home; one son, David Robinson, wife Debbie, one granddaughter, Kerri Robinson; of Charlotte, one brother, Herbert J. Robinson of Ooltewah, TN; and one sister, Martha Lackey of Reidsville, NC.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Activity Fund at Brian Center of Lincolnton, 515 S. Generals Blvd., Lincolnton, NC 28092.
