Mr. Kenneth Eugene Sanford, age 76, of 3238 Springfield Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, November 11, 2013.

Services will be private.

Mr. Sanford was born September 19, 1937 in Lincoln County to the late James Willard and Lizzie Etta Poovey Sanford.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and then later was a dock worker for Carolina Freight for 30 years.  He loved the beach, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Mauney Sanford of the home; two daughters, Sherry Duncan and husband Kim of Crouse and Kristie Sanford of Lincolnton; two sons, Kenny Sanford and Jimmy Sanford, both of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Cassie and Kelsie Duncan, Matthew and Journee Sanford, and Jacob Sanford; two sisters, Linda Carpenter and Mildred Sisk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
