Obituaries

Mrs. Elizabeth “Betsy” Dare Hauss Hoover, age 89, of 2085 Shoal Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, November 2, 2013.

Her funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Bethphage Lutheran Church with Rev. Fred Mitschke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in the Congregational Life Building of Bethphage Lutheran Church prior to the service.

Mrs. Hoover was born in Lincoln County on March 18, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Silas and Catherine Avery Hauss.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Noah Logan Hoover.  She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by one son, Harry Hoover and wife, Ann of Cherryville; two daughters, Teresa Houser and husband, Max of Lincolnton, Maeka Shronce and husband, John of Crouse; eight grandchildren, Barbara Ann Baker and husband, Rob, Harriet Hoover and husband, Chris McSween, Matthew Logan Hoover, Caine Houser and wife, Heather, Ashlee Ledford and husband, Davey, Haley Bowman, Jacob Shronce and wife, Jessie, and  Logan Shronce; eight great-grandchildren, Rachel Baker, Sarah Baker, Marie Baker, Cooper Houser, Cannyn Houser, Eden Ledford, Morgan Dean and Fallon Dean.
