Obituaries

Mrs. Wanda Hoyle Lee, age 72, of Laurel Street in Lincolnton, died peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.

Mrs. Lee was born December 4, 1940 in Lincoln County to the late Donald and Mamie Poteat Hoyle.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Louie Dale Lee and two sisters, Clara Conner and Ruby Crump.  Mrs. Lee was retired from textiles. 

She is survived by one daughter, Tammie Abernathy of Lincolnton; two brothers, Kenneth Hoyle and Donald Hoyle of Lincolnton; one sister, Murel Canipe of Hickory; three grandchildren, Lindsay Abernathy, Emily Kiser and William Abernathy all of Lincolnton; four great-grandchildren.
