Jimmy Clyde Cook
( April 16, 1934 - September 14, 2013 )

Mr. Jimmy Clyde Cook, age 72, of 2443 Brook Hollar Drive, Crouse died Saturday, September 14, 2013.

 

His funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at South River Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Chapman and Rev. James Cape officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:45 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Monday prior to the service at South River Baptist Church.

 

Mr. Cook was born April 16, 1941 in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Raymond and Blanch White Cook. He was also preceded in death by two children, Jimmy and Penny Cook.  Mr. Cook was retired from the construction business.

 

Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Jo-Ann Cook of the home; two daughters, Trudy Beam and husband, Guy of Cherryville and Tamie Gates of Lincolnton; one brother, Raymond Cook of Lincolnton; two sisters, Mary Beard of Crouse and BessieRae Mathis of Vale, NC; four grandchildren, Michelle Beam, Lacy Beam, Justin Elmore and Gus Elmore; three great-grandchildren, Joe, Harley and Carli; four step-children, Teddy and Pam Clark of Newton, David and Elaine Clark of Mt. Holly, Chris Clark of the home and Sherry Ingle of Lincolnton; two step-grandchildren, Joanna and Frankie Ingle; four step-great grandchildren, Tony, Michael, Brianna and Brandon.

 

Memorials may be made to the Community Full Gospel Church, 2443 Brook Hollar Drive, Crouse, NC 28033 or to the Robin Johnson House, 5005 Shepherd’s Way Drive, Dallas, NC 28034.
