Obituaries

Trudy Elaine Smith Avery, age 59, of 1947 Southside Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, August 18, 2013.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Leland Stephens and Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Avery was born February 26, 1954 in Catawba County to the late Frances H. and Ann Hoover Smith.  She worked in retail and wholesale.

She is survived by her husband, Victor Avery of the home; one son, Bryan V. Avery of Lincolnton; and one grandson, Frank Avery.
