Clarice “Jean” Rudisill Carpenter, age 79, of 192 Lake Sylvia Road in Lincolnton, died Saturday, August 17, 2013.

Services will be private.

Mrs. Carpenter was born June 9, 1934 in Lincoln County to the late Gaston Paul and Lillian Viney Sain Rudisill.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Carpenter.  Mrs. Carpenter worked in manufacturing. 

She is survived by a daughter, Julie Carpenter Dill of Lincolnton; three sisters, Marilyn Auton, Earlene Johnson, and Joyce Icard, all of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Clarissa Dill and Larry Deal, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Erika Hudson.
