Obituaries

Thelma Irene Houk Bartlett, age 89, of 103 Keever Street in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, August 4, 2013. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael Rice officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 am on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bartlett was born January 19, 1924 in Lincoln County to the late Will and Lottie Beal Houk.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Eugene Bartlett, a son, Johnny Eugene Bartlett, and a daughter, Phyllis Ann Robinson.  She worked in furniture manufacturing.

She is survived by a son, Larry Sisk of Lincolnton; three daughters, Nancy Stallings, Pamela Hicks, and Debbie Poovey, all of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
