Mr. William Monroe Jordan, age 70 of 2582 Hopewell Church Road in Sherrills Ford,  passed away on July 22, 2013.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 26, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Jordan officiating.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 7:00pm until 9:00 pm at Warlick Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in the Veterans Cemetery in Salisbury at a later date.

Mr. Jordan was a native of Robeson County, born on January 3, 1943, son of the late Perry Monroe Jordan. He was employed as a truck driver before retiring. Mr. Jordan also served his country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include: his mother, Agnes Mabe Jordan of Raleigh; two sons,  Perry Jordan and wife Cecelia of Lincolnton; Billy Jordan of Sherrills Ford;  one daughter, Tammy Jordan Blair and husband Billy of Rock Hill, SC;  seven brothers, James Jordan and wife Ann of Townsville, NC, Rev. Bobby Jordan and wife Linda of Hamlet, NC, Richard Jordan and wife Patricia of Franklinton, NC, Gary Jordan and wife Kim of Zebulon, NC, Randy Jordan and wife Dale of Trinity, NC, Sam Jordan and wife Kim and Scott Jordan and wife Patty, all of Franklinton, NC; one sister, Barbara Gilroy and husband Ted of Iron Station; six grandchildren, Michael Jordan, Todd Jordan, Alex Blair, Erin Farrell, Brendan Farrell, and Hunter Blair; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
