Mrs. Evelyn Virginia Turner Hawkins, age 90, of 595 Bethel Church Road, Lincolnton died Monday, June 10, 2013
She was born August 26, 1922 in Lincoln County to the late Julius Sylvanus and Beddie Hoyle Turner. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Zenus William Hawkins and five brothers and four sisters. She was employed at Burris Industries and Rolane.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:45 a.m to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Survivors are sons; Van Hawkins and wife Donna of Belmont, Randy Hawkins and wife Sherry of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Lindsey Hawkins, Jonathan Hawkins, Jacob and wife Kristin Hawkins, Caleb and wife Melanie Hawkins.
