Obituaries

Mr. Alfred James “Jim” Moore, III age 57 of 945 Old Lincolnton-Crouse Road in Crouse, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his home.

His funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Andy Royals and Brent Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 on Tuesday prior to the service at the church.

Jim was born November 28, 1955 in Mecklenburg County to Betty Hathcock Moore and the late Alfred James Moore, Jr.  He was a route salesman for Unifirst.

Survivors include his wife, Paige B. Moore of the home; three daughters, Allison Abshire and Christopher of York, SC, Michelle Knotts and Michael of Fountain Inn, SC,  Danielle Braswell and Benjamin of Kings Mountain, NC; mother, Betty H. Moore of Matthews, NC; one sister, Jan Ashley and Stan of Cornelius, NC; seven grandchildren, Molly, Lexus, Aniston, Logan, Zane, Abiegale, and William; good friends, Tony Perkins and Dave Belliveau and feline companion, Salem.
