Geneva C. Engle age 91, of 1123 Bess Chapel Church Road in Cherryville died Sunday, June 9, 2013.
She was born March 23, 1922 in Lincoln County to the late Charlie Canipe and Sarah Helms Canipe. Mrs. Engle was preceded in death by her husband Hillard Paul Engle; and one brother Grady Canipe. She worked in textiles.
Her funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with Pastor Dale Pederson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:45pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Engle and wife Becky of Cherryville, NC; daughter, Brenda Engle Hilderbran and husband Kenneth of Conover, NC; grandson, Kenneth Hilderbran, Jr. and wife Jessica of Cherryville, NC and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
