Obituaries

Mr. Lester Ralph Rudisill, age 56, of 115 Jonas Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, April 29, 2013.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Rev. Billy Bollinger officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.  Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Ralph was born November 10, 1956 in Lincoln County to the late Carl Franklin and Kathleen Schrum Rudisill.  He was the owner/operator of Zipper’s Restaurant in Lincolnton. He enjoyed giving more than receiving and would want all of his friends to pay it forward. As many hearts as he touched, they touched his in return.

He is survived by a son, Travis Rudisill of Lincolnton; fiancé, Cindy Taylor; four brothers, Johnny Rudisill, Ronnie Rudisill and wife Sheila, Garry Rudisill and wife Nancy, and Bill Rudisill, all of Lincolnton; two sisters, Patty Schronce and husband Scott of Iron Station and Dorothy “Dot” Boykin and husband Jim of Concord; two stepsons, Jonathan Avery and Cody Taylor; and two grandchildren, Aaron Bland and Devin Avery.
