Mr. Earl Dean Jenkins, age 67, of Lincolnton, died on Saturday, April 20, 2013.
His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Goins and Rev. Darrell Bost officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Tonya and John Forbes, 4690 Kowaleski Lane in Lincolnton.
Mr. Jenkins was born May 6, 1945 in Lincoln County to the late Broadus Lee and Mary Hilderbrand Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers Lee Jenkins, Avery Jenkins and Clyde Jenkins, and sisters Hazel Canipe and Dolly Bradley Kennedy. Mr. Jenkins served in the United States Army and then later worked in furniture manufacturing from which he retired. Later, he worked for Wal-Mart in Cherryville.
He is survived by a daughter, Tonya Jenkins Forbes and husband John of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Johnathan Forbes and Raven Forbes; two brothers, Darrell Jenkins of Lincolnton and Billy Jenkins of Icard, NC; and two sisters, Louise J. Guiton of Lincolnton and Patsy J. Seifert of Denver.
