Obituaries

Mrs. Virginia Gordon Orr Minnick, age 90, of the Cardinal Health Care in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

A graveside service will be 2:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mrs. Minnick was born October 29, 1922 in Smith County, VA to the late George and Mary Price Orr.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cox Minnick and one daughter Mary Jean Navey.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty Lou Minnick of Lincolnton; one grandson, Ben Navey and wife Lisa of Lincolnton; one granddaughter, Sheila Rudisill of Lincolnton; three great grandchildren, Ronald Navey and wife Maria of Vale, Elizabeth Falvey and husband Brian of Lincolnton and Matthew Houser of Lincolnton; three great-great granddaughters, Mackenzie Navey, Stella Navey and Grace Falvey.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Oswald Lynch and to all the caregivers at Cardinal Health Care.
