Mrs. Helen Carolyn Benfield age 77 of 480 McAlister Road Lincolnton passed away on February 27, 2013.
Funeral services will be held Friday March 1, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Brittan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
Mrs. Benfield was born on December 8, 1935, a native of Catawba County and daughter of the late Arthur and Mamie Canipe Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Benfield and one son Randy Long. Mrs. Benfield worked in the textile industry before retiring.
Survivors include: one son Jimmy Long and wife Melissa of Lincolnton; one daughter Elizabeth L. Piedlow Lincolnton; one brother Bob Williams of Lincolnton; four sisters Elizabeth Wehunt of Vale, Barbara Wood of Lincolnton, Peggy Jean Weathers of Denver, and Ruth Warlick of Newton; eight grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
