Obituaries

Mr. D’olier “Dee” Sigmon, age 82 of Lincolnton, died on Friday, February 15, 2013.

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. 

Mr. Sigmon was born in Catawba County on March 4, 1930 and was the son of the late Walter and Dollie Townsend Sigmon.  He was also preceded in death by one son, Daryel D. Sigmon. Mr. Sigmon was a retired machinist in the textile industry.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Louise G. Sigmon of the home; one son, Gary B. Sigmon of Lincolnton: three daughters, Diane Sigmon, Debby Lyda and husband James, and Bobbie Reynolds and husband Randy, all of Lincolnton; one brother, John Sigmon of Lincolnton; and six grandchildren, Crystal Gantt of Lincolnton, Dr. Laurie Lea Lyda of Milledgeville, GA, Jamie Lyda and Devin Lyda, both of Lincolnton, Haley Lynn Lyda of Boone, NC, and Tiffany Sigmon of Newton.
