Obituaries

Suzanne Irene Smith, age 68, of 2540 Ernest Huss Lane in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, February 7, 2013.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 11, 2013 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with Rev. G. Miles Smith officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born October 5, 1944 in Cuba, New York to Helen Fodor Bartley and the late Edwin Bartley.  She was a Registered Nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Thomas W. Smith of the home; two daughters, Megan England and husband Kemp, and Stephanie Warren and husband Michael, all of Lincolnton; three sons, Timothy Smith and wife Diane of Texas, David Smith and wife Sharon of Georgia, and Stephen Smith and wife Kelly of New York; daughter-in-law, Dawn Smith of New York; a brother, Michael Bartley of New York; and thirteen grandchildren, Lydia, Natalie, and Madeline Smith of Texas, Jacob, Jarred and Ella Smith of New York, Patrick, Christopher, and William Smith, all of Georgia, Madison and Sage Warren, and Tatum and London England, all of North Carolina. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 315 N. Cedar Street, Lincolnton, NC  28092, or to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Suite 999, Charlotte, NC  28215.
