Obituaries

Mrs. Betty Joe Moody Gilbert, age 65, of 3817 Plateau Road, Newton, NC died Sunday, February 3, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gilbert was born in Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Harris and Annie Lee Simpson Moody.  She worked in the textile industry.

Mrs. Gilbert is survived by her husband, Roger Dale Gilbert of the home; two sons Joey Moody and wife, Tammie of Vale, NC and Robbie Moody and wife, Sandy of Vale, NC; two brothers Dwight Moody of Cherryville and Bobby Moody of Lincolnton; four sisters, Mary Poole of Lincolnton, Elizabeth Yount of Crouse, Veda Mae McMillian of Gastonia and Frances Glenn of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Jacob Moody, Jordan Moody and Jaqson Moody and numerous nieces and nephews.
