Obituaries

Mrs. Mary Pauline Schronce Carpenter, age 71 of 1638 Roseland Drive in Lincolnton died on Friday, January 18, 2013.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 21, 2013  in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kyeth Lindsay and Rev. Robert Ramsey officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Sunday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carpenter was born on March 26, 1941 in Catawba County  to the late Stonewall Jackson and Ruby Lee Canipe Schronce.    In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lytton Carpenter, Sr.; two sons, James Lytton Carpenter, Jr., Lonnie Ray Carpenter, Sr.; one brother, Fred Adam Schronce and one sister, Nancy Dellinger.

Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Rhodes and husband Gerald of Crouse; four grandchildren, Miranda Rhodes of Cherryville, Dustin Rhodes of Crouse, Angela Carpenter of the home, Lonnie Carpenter, Jr., of the home; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas Watkins, Jasmine Carpenter, Michael Rubio, Alexis Watkins, Trey Carpenter, Madelynn Grubbs, Autumn Carpenter, McKenna Rhodes; numerous nieces and nephews.
