Obituaries

Darrell Wayne Whitaker, age 45, of 4123 E.R. Drive in Newton, died on Monday, December 10, 2012.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Whitaker was born July 25, 1967 in Forsyth County to Sharon Roberson and the late Roger Dale Whitaker.  In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Fulcher and a brother, Darren Whitaker.  Mr. Whitaker worked for Solaris Industries. 

He is survived by his wife, Angela Rudisill Whitaker of the home; a son, Darrell Wayne Whitaker, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Jessica Ann Honaker and husband Joshua of West Virginia; two brothers, Robert Sloan of Denver and Christopher Whitt of Mt. Airy, NC; mother, Sharon Roberson of Mt. Airy, NC; mother and father-in-law, Everette and Judy Rudisill of Newton; and brother-in-law, Steven Rudisill of Newton.
