Obituaries

Mr. Asbel Siler, age 76, of 1082 Dragtown Road in Iron Station, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

His funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Heavenly View Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church. 

Mr. Siler was born August 1, 1936 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late Jake and Florence Sturdivent Siler.   He worked as a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Joyce) Ragan Siler of the home; seven sons; two daughters; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters.
