Mabel Pearson

Mabel Kale Pearson, age 77, of the Lincoln Nursing Center in Lincolnton, died on Friday, October 19, 2012.


Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Monday, October 22, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Rudisill officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

         

Mrs. Pearson was born June 1, 1935 in Gaston County to the late John Lock and Charlotte Harbin Kale.   In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Isaac David Pearson. She worked at Mary Jo’s Cloth Store in Gastonia for many years. She also enjoyed racing, especially pulling for Dale, Jr.

 

She is survived by three sons, Eugene Bumgardner, Jr. of Bessemer City, John Bumgardner and wife Rose of Maiden, and Richard Bumgardner and wife Beverly of Warshoals, SC; two daughters, Tonda Kellum and husband Johnny of Jacksonville, NC and daughter, Meleah Deaton and husband William of Lincolnton; a sister, Jeanette Hyleman of Gastonia; four step-daughters, Cynthia Helms, Lynn Winchester, Melinda Helms, and Sandra Hamrick; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
