Peggy June Light Goodall, age 61, of 408 Sherrill Farm Road in Lincolnton, went to be with the Lord following a lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday, October 4, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 7, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Shortridge officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Goodall was born March 2, 1951 in Boone County, West Virginia to the late Walter and Sarah Flynn Light.   

She is survived by her husband, Roy Dean Goodall of the home; one son, Thomas Shrewsbury and Angie of Cherryville; three daughters, Christine Shrewsbury, Kathy Shrewsbury and Jeff Hill, and Deanna Shrewsbury, all of Cleveland, OH; three brothers, Jack Light and wife Zora of Iron Station, NC, Danny Light of Akron, OH, and Walter Light, Jr. and wife Ruth of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; four sisters, Mary Koliha, Linda Vandall and husband Lee, all of Maiden, NC, Norma Vickers of West Virginia, and Anna Abernathy and husband Miller of Lincolnton; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She will be greatly missed by all.
