Cleo Rita Aurore Lapointe Grinsted, age 74, of Carolina Care Center in Cherryville, and formerly of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, September 30, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ohio.
Mrs. Grinsted was born October 8, 1937 in Caribou, Maine to the late Albert Joseph and Grace Gagnon Lapointe. She was a nurse for over 25 years as well as a member of the Red Hat Society and a member of a book club.
She is survived by her husband, Allan Steven Grinsted of Florida; two sons, Ronald Grinsted of Ohio and Steven Grinsted of California; one daughter, Teresa G. Schofalvi of Ohio; two brothers, Rudolph Lapointe of California and Ronald Lapointe of Asheville, NC; one sister, Delcia Lapointe of Lincolnton; and six grandchildren.
