Lottie Logan Bolding
( March 23, 1911 - August 11, 2012 )

Lottie Logan Bolding, 101 years of age, of Statesville and formerly of Lincolnton, went home to be with her Lord August 11, 2012 at Gordon’s Hospice House of Iredell County.

 

She was the daughter of the late David and Lydia Guigou Logan.  She was born in Cleveland County on March 23, 1911.  She was a farmer wife and later worked as a nurse’s aid at Crowell Hospital.  The last 15 years she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and William Wease in Statesville.

 

She was married to Nelson D. Bolding who died January 8, 1959.  Also preceding her in death beside her parents and husband were four sisters, Sophia Logan, Bertie L. Greene, Ella L. Gilbert and Auleen L. Smith.  Four brothers, Vasie Logan, Andy Logan, Drum Logan and Sears Logan.  A great, great granddaughter Samantha H. Barwick, a granddaughter-in-law Angela L. McGee.

 

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary B. and Bob McGee of Melbourne, FL, Lois B. and William Wease of Statesville.  Five grandchildren, Theresa M. Hook (Bill), Nashville, TN, Sheila M. Holmes (Wayne), Titusville, FL, Steve McGee, Palm Bay, FL, Bill Wease (Janet), Morganton, NC, and Allen Wease (Phyllis), King, NC; seven great-grandchildren, Libby Hook, Michael and Nancy Holmes, Aubrey and Malory McGee, Angie Wease Powers and Nathan Wease; two great-great grandchildren, Michael and Cody Powers; two step-great grandsons, Rusty Hollifield and David Moxley; one step great-great grandson, Anthony Moxley; many nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Garnet Bolding.

 

The funeral will be in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August, 18, 2012 at 2:00pm.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.   Rev. Tony Bunton will officiate.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  At all other times, the family will be at the home of Lois Wease in Statesville.
