Obituaries

Mr. Billy Darrell Bumgarner, Jr., age 52 of 211-A Rock Dale Road in Lawndale, died on Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

His funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn Berryhill officiating.  Burial will follow in the Church of Savior Woodside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Mr. Bumgarner was born July 7, 1960 in Lincoln County to the late Billy Darrell Bumgarner, Sr. and Ethelene Peeler Bumgarner.  He worked in textiles.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara H. Bumgarner; one daughter, Wendy Bumgarner of Lincolnton; one son, Billy D. Bumgarner, III; one sister, Donna Engle of Vale; special companion, Carolyn Soto of Lawndale; and four grandchildren, Tyler Hester, Dylan Hunt, Zachary Hunt, and Haley Hunt.
