Obituaries

Opal Beard Sain, age 84, of 5910 Bill Sain Road in Vale, died on Tuesday, August 7, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor John Locke officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service.  Receiving of friends will follow the service.    

Mrs. Sain was born October 23, 1928 in Catawba County to the late Dewey and Johnsie Propst Beard.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Thomas Sain, and a son, Tony Sain.   She worked as a beautician. 

She is survived by a daughter, LeAnn Hull and husband Randy of Vale; three grandsons, Matt Sain and wife Lynne of Denver, John Sain of Vale, and Henry Hull and wife Brittany of Vale; one granddaughter, Maria Navey and husband Ronald of Vale; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Sain, Mackenzie Navey, and Stella Navey; brother, Jim Beard of Hickory; and brother-in-law, Darrell Sain of Vale.
