Stella Brite Martin Avery, age 86, of Carillon Assisted Living in Lincolnton, died on Monday, July 30, 2012.
Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Avery was born July 15, 1926 in Lincoln County to the late Lee and Dessie Lackey Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Avery, a son, Mike Avery, three brothers and three sisters. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by three brothers, Dwight Martin of Lincolnton, Dennis Martin of Lake Okeechobee, FL, and Harold Martin of Lincolnton; and one sister, Evelyn Humphries of Lincolnton.
