Obituaries

Fran “Lafay” Bost Brewer, age 81, of Cardinal Health Care, and formerly of 780 Clarks Creek Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Goins and Rev. Darrell Bost officiating.   Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 pm prior to the service at the church. 

Mrs. Brewer was born May 27, 1931 in Lincoln County to the late Paul J. and Ruth Owens Bost.  She worked as a secretary for Lineberger Brothers.  

She is survived by her husband, Adrian Brewer of the home; one son, Adrian Brewer, Jr. and wife Cherie of Troutman; three daughters, Debbie Brewer Goins and husband Robert and Melanie Brewer Givens and husband Sheanan, all of Lincolnton, and Amie Brewer Coulter and husband Scott of Charlotte; one brother, Rev. Darrell Bost of Lincolnton; two sisters, Doris Clark and Freida Marley, both of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
