Mary Jo Carpenter Jackson
( November 13, 1938 - June 24, 2012 )

Mrs. Mary “Jo” Carpenter Jackson, of 2597 Hovis Road in Lincolnton, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 24, 2012. 

 

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Iron Station Missionary Church with Rev. Chris Johnson and Rev. Rick Sigmon officiating.  Burial will follow in South River Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be grandsons and family members.  Friends who wish to visit the family at other times may visit at the home of Kim and Mike Randall, 4101 Old Silo Lane, Lincolnton.

 

Born on November 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Fred Carpenter and Lorine Poovey Carpenter.  She was a faithful member of Iron Station Missionary Church where her husband was the pastor for 38 years.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ralph A. Jackson, sister, Jennifer A. Carpenter, grandparents, Floyd and Mary Poovey.   

 

She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Cline and her late husband Donnie, Kim Randall and her husband Mike, Kristy Holbrooks and husband Larry.  Grandchildren, Kurt Holbrooks, Kendall Webb and husband Justin, Jay Randall, Ryan Randall and wife Mandy, Kristen Crumpler and husband Eric; great-grandchildren, Connor Dellinger and Olivia Crumpler.  Sisters, Jane Carpenter Milburn and husband Clyde, Judy Carpenter Cline and husband Jerry all of Lincolnton.
