Obituaries

Mr. Charlie Frank Heafner, age 74, of Dave Heafner Road in Crouse, died on Sunday, May 27, 2012.

His funeral service will be 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse with Pastor Rick Sloop officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home. 

Mr. Heafner was born January 4, 1938 in Lincoln County to the late Dave and Moree Elmore Heafner.   He worked for Laz-y-Boy.

He is survived by his wife, Hazelene Houser Heafner of the home; one daughter, Amy Thomas of Lincolnton; one son, Larry Heafner of Crouse; two brothers, Glen Heafner of Vale and Tommy Heafner of Crouse; three sisters, Frances Curtis, Linda Gilmore, and Carolyn Canipe, all of Crouse; and five grandchildren.
