Geneva Elizabeth Aiken Dellinger
( June 22, 1915 - May 1, 2012 )

Geneva Elizabeth Aiken Dellinger, age 96, of 860 S. Highway 16 in Stanley, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

 

Her funeral service will be 3:00 pm on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Hills Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Val Rosenquist and Rev. Roland Barnhardt officiating.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church. 

 

Mrs. Dellinger was born June 22, 1915 in Lincoln County to the late Pearl and Ida Black Aiken. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by three sisters, Shasta A. Brandon, Lola A. Youngblood, and Edna Mae Howard, as well as a brother, Bob Aiken.   She worked as a cafeteria manager at East Lincoln High School.

 

She is survived by four sons, R.C. Dellinger and wife Joyce, and Dean Dellinger and wife Sheila, all of Lowesville, Terry Dellinger and wife Emily of Selma, AL, and Kenny Dellinger and wife Pam of Lowesville; two daughters, Jewell Crow and husband Jimmy of Lowesville and Darlene Dellinger of Denver; fifteen grandchildren; twentygreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.    

 

Memorials may be made to Hills Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Cemetery Trust Fund, 988 S. Highway 16, Stanley, NC  28164.
