Obituaries

Mr. Rayford Willis, age 75, of 811 Carolina Mills Circle in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Norris Willis officiating.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Willis was born July 16, 1936 in Cleveland County to the late Arthur and Janie Mae Taylor Willis.  He worked as a truck driver for Custom Transport.  

He is survived by his wife, Edith Pruitt Willis of the home; one son, Tommy Willis of Lincolnton; four daughters, Wanda Goins of Vale, Sandra Cloninger of Lincolnton, Barbara Bartley and Cathy Robinson, both of Cherryville; two brothers, Lloyd Willis and Wayne Willis, both of Cherryville; one sister, Vangie Costner of Lawndale; nine grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren
