Obituaries

Mr. Willet Alexander “Buzz” Adams, Jr., age 61 of 3113 Gastonia Highway in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 30, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Carter officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.  

Mr. Adams was born January 21, 1951 in Mecklenburg County to Willet Alexander Adams, Sr. and Marion Knight Adams.  He was a highly decorated Vietnam vet with the 101^st Airborne of the United States Army. Mr. Adams was a commercial truck driver for 30+ years, most recently with HD Supply.  He was a hard-working and devoted husband and dad.  He gave freely of his time and skills for others in need.  He left this earth, but never will leave our hearts.  We all love you and will miss you dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Lockman Adams of the home; a son, “Trey” Willet Adams, III of Concord; two daughters, Alexis Adams and Harley Dyer, both of the home; his parents, Willet Adams, Sr. and Marion Adams of Charlotte; a sister, Mary Cloer of Charlotte; and three brothers, David Adams of Pineville, Glenn Adams of Charlotte, and Mark Adams of St. Louis, MO.
