Brett Thomas Knierim, age 23, of 7981 Blue Water Court in Denver, died on Saturday, March 17, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Denver United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Johnsen officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:15 prior to the service at the church.
Brett was born June 2, 1988 in Turlock, California to David Knierim and Michelle Lytle Knierim. Brett moved to Denver North Carolina in 2002 where Brett attended Pumpkin Center Middle School. Brett graduated in 2007 from North Lincoln High School, where he ran cross country for two years. Brett was a thrill seeker and loved everything exciting. He raced motocross and worked as part of a pit crew for a Bush North team. He enjoyed making videos of himself and his friends and their “shenanigans”. He was a very hard worker with many plans for the future. Brett loved life and all that knew him loved him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Lytle. Brett worked as an appretice for Overcash Electric. Brett lives on through the people who received his life giving organ donations.
He is survived by his mother, Michelle Lytle Knierim of Denver; father, David Knierim of Mooresville; sister, Ashley Knierim of Charlotte; maternal grandmother, Linda Lytle of Turlock, CA; paternal grandmother, Rosemary Knierim of Turlock, CA; and maternal great-grandmother Beth Weymouth of Turlock, CA.
