Obituaries

Mrs. Lucille Knowles Phillips, age 82 of 3077 Brady Hoffman Road in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, February 2, 2012.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Providence Road Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Worley officiating.  The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.  Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phillips was born January 25, 1930 in Folkston, GA to the late Ernest and Mary Guinn Knowles.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deloris Evon Hall. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker.  

She is survived by her husband, Charles S. Phillips of the home; two sons, James Gilbert Hall of Eastman, GA, and James Kenneth Hall of Lincolnton; a daughter, Karen Lucille Spencer of Lincolnton; five brothers; four sisters; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
