Mr. Carl Thomas Moore, age 65 of 3998 Killian Road in Lincolnton, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
His funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Crowell Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Moore was born November 7, 1946 in Mecklenburg County to the late Lucy Mae Carter Moore. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Moore and a sister, Frances Lineberger. Mr. Moore worked as a convenience store operator.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Carpenter Moore of the home; one daughter, Camy Sorge of Greensboro; one stepson, Gordon Scott Avery of Lincolnton; one stepdaughter, Donna Schlesinger of Prattville, AL; one brother, Paul Moore of Wilmington; two sisters, Peggy Stroupe of Lincolnton and Pearl Clewis of Gastonia; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
